Definitely best movie of 2023.
Don’t judge me but I just say this movie tonight for the first time. Shoutout to Cory for some awesome movie suggestions!!! They have all be great!!! Full moment of transparency, I have literately not watch movies in years and I am generally behind. But this movie what the absolute best movie of 2023 and 2024!
This movie is right up there with Love Jones, The Best Man, and The Photography!
This movie was so well layered due to it’s direct language, and scenarios as it relates to human behavior. I am not one that is easily offended by real life and the complicated nuances that come with it so I found it to be an absolute breathing fresh air!
I almost feel like this movie deserves a Showcase of Excellence nomination!!! With every thing that is going on in our society, I welcomed interesting opportunities for rich conversations!
This may be a fairly strong option but I am giving a bombastic side eye to anyone who felt that this was a bad movie! The writing was amazing!!!
This may be our movie selection on the month! I have definitely be sleeping. I didn’t realize that You People was directed and written by Kenya Barris but it all made scenes when the credits rolled. His writing and directing on Blackish was fire.
